Connect your sensor

3 min setup · Updated July 2026

Endobits reads your glucose two ways: from Apple Health (works with almost every sensor — your sensor's own app puts readings there) or by a direct connection (self-hosted DIY rigs today; Dexcom and Eversense sign-in from inside the app). Pick your sensor below.

Dexcom (G7, G6, ONE, ONE+, Stelo)

  1. Open the Dexcom app (or Stelo app) on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Profile — on some versions this is Settings.
  3. Tap Apple Health and turn sharing ON.
  4. Done — readings usually appear in Apple Health within about 3 hours, and Endobits picks them up from there.

FreeStyle Libre (Libre 3, Libre 2) & Lingo

  1. Open the Libre app (or the Lingo app) on your iPhone.
  2. Open the Menu → Settings — on some versions it's called Connected Apps.
  3. Tap Apple Health and allow glucose to be shared (written) to Health.
  4. Done — new readings start flowing into Apple Health, and Endobits reads them from there.

DIY rig (real-time)

If you run your own DIY CGM rig — a self-hosted site that relays your sensor readings — this is the best connection — it's the only real-time path, and it unlocks live forecasting features that Apple Health's ~3-hour delay can't power.

  1. In Endobits, go to Settings → Connections → DIY rig.
  2. Enter your rig's URL (like https://yourname.example.com) and an access token with read permission.
  3. Endobits verifies the connection and starts reading immediately.

Eversense (365, E3)

Endobits connects to Eversense with your Eversense account sign-in, from inside the app: Settings → Connections → Eversense. Tick "Remember my login" and the connection renews itself. Eversense data arrives with roughly a 3-hour delay — great for trends and reports.

Eversense connections are rolling out during the beta — if yours shows "waiting for data," it will light up automatically in an upcoming update; no need to reconnect. You can use Apple Health in the meantime once the Eversense 365 app adds Health sharing.

No data after connecting? Three checks

1. Is Endobits allowed to read glucose?

iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Endobits → make sure Glucose (and anything else you want to share, like steps and sleep) is ON.

2. Is your sensor app writing to Apple Health at all?

Open the Apple Health app → Browse → Blood Glucose. If there are no readings there, your sensor's app isn't writing to Health yet — fix that in the sensor app first (steps above). Endobits can only read what Health has.

3. Give it time

Most sensors deliver to Apple Health with up to ~3 hours of delay, and a brand-new sensor may need a few hours of warm-up before its first readings arrive. This delay is set by the sensor makers, not by Endobits — a DIY rig is the exception (real-time).
